The National Sports Report has teamed up with SKI’S THE LIMIT ELITE TRAINING, the nations most comprehensive Wide Receiver development program to present the SKI’S THE LIMIT WR Watch list. Led by former All-American and NFL Wide Receiver Margin Hooks, Sky’s The Limit Training provides quality professional training for all ages that will promote quick results for aspiring athletes in specific skill sets. They concentrate on skill specific techniques such as Wide Receivers Footwork, route running, coverage recognition and catching the ball
The purpose of this list is to highlight the talents of the nations top youth WR while rewarding the hard work and dedication to greatness that great players display. Sky’s the Limit and the National Sports Report believe that the WR at the youth level is becoming more important in most youth football offences and it is time that they got their glory.
Wide receiver Guru, Margin Hooks and his staff of professionals along with the staff at NSR will evaluate players based on film, stats, coaches comments and a specific set of player evaluation criteria to put together a very comprehensive and credible nation wide Receiver watch list that we believe will carry the torch for the position going forward.
Margin has been involved with football in many different venues for over 30 years. He began his career participating in Peewee football where he learned basic fundamentals that have carried him throughout his football career. Hooks flourished at Waco High School in Waco, Texas, starting on varsity as a sophomore and quickly becoming a sought after Division I college recruit. After being recruited by universities such as Oklahoma University, Texas Christian University, Texas Tech, Southern Methodist University, and New Mexico University, he signed a 4 year college scholarship with Brigham Young University (BYU). At BYU, Hooks was under the direction of one of the all time renowned college coaches, Lavell Edwards. Although receiving his degree in Broadcast Journalism was his number one goal, he was able to accomplish many feats on the field such as:
- 1st Team All Mountain West Conference 1999
- BYU Top Receiver Award 1999
