The Sports Moms Network was created to provide resources and information to Sports Moms across the nation as a one-stop resource for moms of student athletes. Our goal is to provide education and support through symposiums, women’s clinics, and camps as well as online resources.
Shoshana Harvey is from San Fernando Valley (Pacoima), CA. From the time that she was little, she played sports. Her family was involved in all sports: Football, Track, Cheerleading, and Baseball. She had been involved in sports all her life, so it was only natural to get her kids involved in sports. Shoshana started her oldest daughter off, she ran track and was a cheerleader. Her youngest daughter ran track but didn’t really like running but the rule in her household is everybody was doing something. This was when Volleyball was introduced into the family life of sports. Her son runs track and plays Football. Sports has consumed Shoshana’s household, but she wouldn’t have it any other way! Realizing as a parent of 3 her days and nights belonged to them. She continuously gives support to her 3 children Ke’Arra, Damani and DJ as they are on the journey of greatness. It is important to have balance with Sports and Academics and being a Student/Athlete is extremely important. Being a Mom of 3 there is never a dull moment, but there is never a moment that Shoshana will not give her all to assist them in pursuing their dreams/goals.
Elizabeth is from Stevens Point, Wisconsin. From early childhood, she grew up watching the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers, where her passion for football began. She ran track in High School and went to every home game of her High School and College Football Teams. This inspired her to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Health from the University Wisconsin-Whitewater. After College, she began her career in Real Estate. Today, Elizabeth and her husband, Mark, have one son, Jonathan, who is 13 years old; and of course, plays football. Having a son reignited her passion for football, where she and her husband are heavily involved in the local football community. When she is not selling houses, or working out she is taking her son to training and football, where she has never missed a game. She insists on academics first; her son carries a 4.0 GPA with honors classes. In her spare time, you can find Elizabeth hitting golf balls at one of the local golf courses.
